30th Annual Run for the Roses 5k

Presented by Xtra Mile Running

We are proud to announce the race has been selected for the 2024 CARA Chicago Racing Circuit!

Run for the Roses features a fast and flat course along closed neighborhood streets in Roselle. With a wide 30 foot starting line & free parking feet away from the start and finish line, this race is fun, fast, and convenient. Indoor and outdoor bathrooms are on site. Post-race refreshments are provided, along with a balloon artist for 2024, and as usual the 0.6k kids' race on the high school's track after the 5k.

T-shirts: The deadline for guaranteed t-shirt availability has passed. Please check the registration page to view the remaining t-shirt sizes. 

Packet Pickup will be from 2-6pm on Friday, May 30th, and from 12-4pm on Saturday, May 31stcat:

  • Xtra Mile Running, 31 W Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194 (SW corner of Schaumburg & Roselle Roads)

Race starts at 8am on Sunday, June 1st. Raceday registration is available on site at Lake Park West High School until 7:45am:

Proceeds after expenses will go to support the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois (formerly known as the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin). 

Join fellow runners on June 7, 2026 for the Run for the Roses 5k. It's a fantastic 5K, 0.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Roselle.

Flat & fast USATF Certified 5k course through the streets around Lake Park West High School in Roselle. Parking is on-site, race starts at 8am. Raceday registration is available until 7:45am.

Kids' .6k Race - 12 & Under

Kids ages 12 & under can enjoy a chip timed .6k race, which starts at 9am on the northeast side of the Lake Park West High School campus parking lot. The course brings the kids onto the 400m track for one lap before finishing on the same spot as the 5k.
