Run for the Roses 5K,1K Walk, & Virtual 5K
About this race
Don’t miss the Run for the Roses 5k and 1k Walk! Runners will start and finish in the beautiful K-State Gardens, take a lap on the track inside the historic World War I football field, and cruise by Hale Library, and Ahearn Fieldhouse. First, second, and third place winners will get a beautiful glazed purple pot with rose-shaped succulent plant! Sorry, no dogs on the course. The 5K course is USATF Certified for 2026 (KS21034TJD). This is a relatively flat, fast course that begins and ends in the gardens, taking a lap on the track inside the historical WWI Memorial football field, and cruising by iconic K-State Ahearn Fieldhouse, Student Union, and Anderson Hall. USATF certified course qualifies runners for state records. Unique rose shaped succulent in purple glazed pottery for place winners in age groups.
