Run for Wishes 5K Benefitting MAKE-A-WISH® CONNECTICUT 

STAR 99.9 and The Surfside Hotel invites you to Run for Wishes with a 5K run or walk raising money for MAKE-A-WISH® CONNECTICUT 

The Star 99.9 & the Surfside Hotel Run for Wishes is hosted by The Little Pub in the Lordship section of Stratford. The Surfside Hotel & Little Pub overlook Long Island Sound as does most of the course!

Join us Sunday, August 9th for a great morning of fun, food & froth, followed by even more fun at the Little Pub.

Register early, enjoy the beach, the views, run/walk or saunter on our very flat and scenic roads. Once finished enjoy the

snacks & adult beverages (21+ only). Plenty of N/A options available too.

Classic t-shirts size guaranteed by 7/26 (after that 'as available' and we could run out! Don't be disappointed).

If you register later the week before there is a chance, we won't have extra  Thanks for understanding. The early bird gets the shirt.

We encourage ALL abilities to join us. Everyone completing the full 5K is eligible for awards based on their computer time.

AWARDS: The TOP Male & Female Finishers overall champions will receive a special prize and be removed from their age group.

FIRST Place Age group awards for 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Second and third place may be added based on registration numbers - watch for updates

'GIVE AWAY: Every participant will be automatically entered into the 'GIVE AWAY' as part of their race fees.

Additional raffle tickets MAY be sold on site to raise funds for MAKE-A-WISH® CONNECTICUT.

Surfside will provide a hotel stay as the grand prize, and a second prize will be announced soon.

5/17 Registration opens- just $33 till 7/26 ($25 for 20 & under) 

7/26 Guaranteed shirt size ends- We may not have many extra so REGISTER IN TIME!

7/27 Reg fee increases to $37 till 8/2  ($27 for 20 & under)

8/3   Reg fee increases to $40 / $30 until race day or sell out.

8/8   Early bib/shirt pickup at the Little Pub picnic lot 8:30-10:30am.

         Get there & avoid race day stress. (Ours & yours) We often have swag not found on race day.

8/9   7:30 am  Event pickup starts at the Little Pub picnic lot (across from the Little Pub & SURFSIDE Hotel

When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving. There are over 300 Connecticut children waiting for their wishes to be granted who count on donors like you to help make their wish come true.

Summer should be a time of joy for children, but wish kids often miss out due to their illness, creating a dark chapter during a time that should be filled with sunshine and memories. 

A wish can change everything for these children - giving them the strength and hope they need to persevere in their fight against critical illness. The summertime is Make-A-Wish® Connecticut's busiest wish-granting season, but it can also be a time when we receive the least amount of financial support. With over 300 kids waiting for their wishes to be granted, we need your help!
