Run the Runway at Chicago Executive Airport
About the Event
Join us for a 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk and Kids Dash on the main runways and taxiways at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, Illinois. The 5K course is USATF Certified, and chip timed. Hang out after your event for podium awards, music, food, giveaways and kids' activities. Plus keep an eye out for princess and superhero guest appearances through the morning!
Strollers and wagons are welcome. No pets are allowed.
In case of inclement weather, a cancellation call will be made by 8:30AM on event day. This is a fundraising event with proceeds benefiting local aviation scholarships. As a result, no refunds will be issued, and the event will not be rescheduled. Thank you for your support!Join fellow runners on June 27, 2026 for the Run the Runway at Chicago Executive Airport. The 5K course is USATF Certified and chip timed. This course is flat and a single loop with the same start/finish line.
1 Mile Walk
This is a flat, 1 mile walk event for all ages and fitness levels. Strollers are welcome.
Virtual
Can't be with us on June 27th? No problem! Run or walk your event on race morning and submit your time on our results page. Don't forget to post a photo in your event gear on our social media page! Event packets will be mailed in mid-June to the name and address used during registration. A participation medal will be distributed in your event packet; however virtual participants will not qualify for top finisher pins.
