Running For Joy
About this race
This September, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I will be taking on a simple challenge with a powerful purpose: 30 days, 30 runs, 30 different people, all in pursuit of joy.
Every day for 30 days, I will head out for a run with someone new. Sometimes a friend, family member, or familiar face, and other times someone I've never met before. Along the way, I’ll have a conversation centered around one question: What brings you joy?
It might be a moment that made them smile that day, a person who makes life better, a memory they carry with them, or something that reminds them what matters most.
Each run and conversation will become part of the Running for Joy content series, sharing these moments throughout Childhood Cancer Awareness Month while raising awareness and funds for LivFree.
LivFree’s mission is centered around creating Moments of Joy for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer. Running for Joy takes that idea out onto the road, using movement, conversation, community, and human connection to remind us how powerful even the smallest moments of joy can be.
