Running with the Dogs
About this race
5th annual Running with The Dogs 5k benefiting the Kilgore Independent School District Education Foundation.
The race will start and end at the Dudley Road entrance of the Creekside Trail.
The Running with the Dogs 5K Fun Run and Creekside Party promises a barking good time an amazing DJ and more! Runners (and walkers!) from East Texas and beyond will enjoy a fast course that starts and ends on the Dudley Road entrance of the new Kilgore Creekside Trail. Be ready to see your favorite students and athletes cheering you on along the route.
Don't forget about the 1K for kids age 3-5th grade. Parents can watch the entire course! Prizes given for winners!
The Running with the Dogs 5K is a great event for groups, new runners, experienced runners looking for a PR, walkers, kids and more!
PRIZES will be given for 1st - 3rd overall Male and Female runners and kids race winners.
Where does the money go?
Funds raised through the Running with the Dogs race benefit the Kilgore Independent School District Education Foundation. The mission of the Education Foundation is to endow and enhance the educational experience of students by providing financial support for district-wide programs and activities.

Join fellow runners on October 29, 2022 for the Running with the Dogs. It's a fantastic 5K, 1K, 8K featuring a flat and fast course in Kilgore.

$30 - 5K Fun Run *Prices Increase by $5.00 on October 1st* *May purchase additional shirts while registering Participants who register after October 15th are not guaranteed a t-shirt! Packet Pickup will be held on Friday, Oct. 28th at the Creekside Trail entrance on Dudley Road between 5pm and 7 pm, or you can pick up your packet morning of the race starting at 7 am.
Kids’ 1K Race (Ages 3-3rd grade)
Calling any and all kids who want to show us what they’ve got!! 1K race set up around the parking area so that parents can watch the race without worrying about the safety of the kids. Compete for fun prizes and bragging rights. Ages 3-3rd grade welcome!
Mountain biking
Mountain Bike Course Race
If you want to make the race extreme, bring your bike, and you can compete the mountain bike course route.
