Running with the Law 5K/10K - Sunset Pursuit
About this race
Last year, you absolutely crushed it. 2025 was a record-setting year for registrations, filling the downtown streets with more energy than we’ve ever seen! But here’s the thing... we’re a little competitive. This year, we want to go even bigger, faster, and even more fun. Welcome to Year Two of the Tuesday night tradition—let’s see if we can blow that 2025 record out of the water!
This is your chance to run with the law! (The legal kind, we promise). 👟🚓 Whether you’re trying to outpace a patrol car or just want to take a sunset selfie with our local officers, this race is all about community, connection, and a little bit of healthy competition.
This is more than just your new PR
We’re lacing up for a massive cause. All proceeds benefit the NC Special Olympics, providing local athletes with the resources to compete and thrive. When you register, you aren’t just hitting the pavement—you’re helping an athlete reach their gold medal dreams. 🌟💙
The Tuesday Takeover
National Night Out is coming in October, but we’re starting the party early. Join us on Tuesday, August 4th for the ultimate downtown sunset vibes.
Why 2026 is the Year to Beat:
The Record-Breaker Challenge: Help us smash last year’s registration numbers. Bring a friend, a neighbor, or even your mail carrier.
·Downtown Glory: We’re back on the riverfront and city streets at the golden hour. No filters needed.
· You’ve got encouragement around every corner—our local officers will be there with high-fives whenever you need a lift. Just remember, the only “speeding” we’re cheering for is the kind powered by your feet on the pavement!
Last year was historic, but 2026 is going to be epic. Register today, help us support the Special Olympics, and let’s make this the biggest Sunset Pursuit in history!
