About the Event

The Rush 2 Brush 5K is back! After nearly a decade, the School of Dentistry is excited to revive this beloved community race. Join us just off the UMMC campus for a morning of fitness, fun, and fundraising — all while supporting two great causes:

  • Batson Children’s Hospital
  • Student Organizations at the School of Dentistry

Whether you’re a competitive runner chasing a new PR, a casual jogger, or a family looking for a healthy way to spend the morning together, this event has a place for you!

Why show up?

  • Support local children and families through Batson Children’s Hospital
  • Enjoy a fun, community-focused race atmosphere
  • Receive a commemorative race T-shirt (guaranteed if registered by October 14th, 2026)
  • Post-race refreshments, music, and food at the finish line in the Belhaven Town Center
  • Awards for top finishers (top 3 male and top 3 female)
