Salisbury Rowan Runners (SRR) - Prediction Run 5K
Back by popular demand!!! All Salisbury Rowan Runners Club members (current as of August 29, 2026) are invited to join us!
To those of you who haven’t heard of a prediction run, here’s how it works. All SRR member participants, any age or gender, will make a prediction at race check-in on how fast they will run/walk a 5K course around City Lake.
We’ll use the old First Methodist Missions 5K course (see map below), including three laps around the lake. At the starting line or before, any participant must remove their watch and phone and not receive any time coaching from anyone along the course. No finish line clocks will be used. Finish times will be posted after the race.
The participant that comes closest to their predicted time will win an amazing prize TBA. 2nd place will receive SRR race series entry (free entry to 4 races), 3rd place will receive free entry to 2027 Winter Flight 8k/5k! 4th place will receive free entry to the Santa Run 5K (12-12-26)! 5th place will receive free entry to the Resolution Run 5K (1-1-27)!
Door prizes to be announced!
We’ll have free breakfast, cookies, and lots of fruit and water following the run!!
