About this race
This earth-friendly road race features a spectacularly scenic course in rural Eastern Connecticut. The event begins and ends at the Historic Comstock covered bridge and follows the Salmon River through the State Forest and along an old railroad bed. The course features varied terrain, including pavement, dirt roads, and improved trails, culminating in a fast downhill finish. Post race, an amazing BBQ feast and awards ceremony on the banks of the Salmon River awaits.

Salmon River 5.5 Mile Run (5.5 Mile Mixed Terrain)
This is a challenging 5.5 mile loop that begins and ends at the Comstock covered bridge and follows the scenic Salmon River through the State Forest and along the Airline Trail. The race features varied terrain of pavement, dirt road and improved trail, as well as a fast downhill finish. Art Glass Awards made from 100% recycled material are given to the first three finishers in each of the following divisions by gender: Junior 13 years and under, High School 14-18 years, Open 19-29 years, Sub Master 30-39 years, Master 40-49 years, Grand Master 50-59 years, Senior 60-69 years, Veteran 70+. Your entry fee includes admission to a fantastic post-race BBQ so come hungry!

2.5 Mile Riverbank Ramble
This is a 2.5 mile guided hike that begins at the Comstock covered bridge and follows the Salmon River through the State Forest. The ramble begins on pavement then proceeds off-road and down to the banks of the scenic Salmon River before looping back onto River Road and back to the Comstock covered bridge. Your entry includes admission to a fantastic post-walk BBQ so come hungry!
