Early Packet Pickup: Friday from 5-7pm if needed. Location will be announced if an early pickup is needed.
Course: The course will follow Portage Avenue East with River Views and many historical Sault Sainte Marie Landmarks along the route. The turnaround will be a lollipop loop inside Aune-Osborn Campground. Runners and walkers can use the bike lane which will be lined with cones along the course or the sidewalk. The most efficient way to run it would be to use the bike lane against traffic flow on the way out and the side-walk on the way back.
Parking: There is off-street parking near Pullar Stadium as well as a parking lot in the back. The Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours parking lots are also available for overflow parking.
Awards: All 5K participants will receive a custom Yooper Running Company winter hat. All 800m kids run participants will receive a goodie bag. There will be no medals. Overall and age group winner awards to be announced.
Weather: Weather during this time of the year will likely be within the historical average high of 33 degrees and low of 20 degrees. Being a morning race, prepare for temps in the 20s, lower to mid 30s for the race with a chance of snow!
Timing: Chip timing by Yooper Running Company. Results link will be on yooperrunning.com
