Grand Prix 2026
The Saratoga Stryder's Grand Prix is designed to encourage more participation in club events through friendly competition and volunteer activities.
You don't have to be the fastest to participate or win a prize at the end of the year.
The more you race, the more points you can earn. Plus, you get to be in more Saratoga Stryder Club photos!
Welcome to the Saratoga Stryders Grand Prix for 2026!
- Volunteering is still an important part of being a Stryder. Once again, you only need 1 volunteer activity to qualify for an end of the year award.
- Now you can earn one point for each volunteer activity- up to 10 points Thanks for helping out!
- More opportunities to participate in races/events.
- Simplified the scoring process with less questions to answer.
- New Race! Saratoga Half Marathon September 20th!
- More Fun Available!
- Grand Prix (GP) RACES are scored 10, 8, 6 points for the top 3. 4 points for all others!
- Special Events (SE) are races worth 2 points for all participants
- Marathon and Ultra races are worth 3 points - you earned it!!

Saratoga First Day 5K
Be part the Stryder's Team and start the year off with a race, a Stryder photo and some Grand Prix points!
ANY ONE MARATHON or ULTRA
You can now earn points each for up to two Marathon or Ultra events. Can include marathons as part of a Triathlon or Duathlon event. Congratulations!
Winterfest 5k Snowshoe Race
Here's a chance to challenge yourself to a Snowshoe Race. The Winterfest 5k in beautiful Saratoga State Park, is now managed by the Saratoga Stryders! Laura and Matt are running the show. If you prefer, you can volunteer to help out!
Virtual 5K March - with a Club Donation
Run a Virtual 5k in March on your own, with friends, family or get together with other Stryders. A Donation to the club will support club activities and help local charities. Virtual races are a simple and fun way to test your fitness as you prepare for the year's organized races. Enjoy!

If you are not doing the Saratoga First Day 5k, you can still run ANY other Race on New Year's Day and earn Grand Prix Points.
ANY ONE SNOWSHOE RACE
There are a number of snow shoe races in the area. Snow shoe races are fun and you can test your fitness (and coordination) while earning Grand Prix Points. Now includes ANY Snow Shoe Race you have done from January-March.
SE - Complete a 2nd Marathon or Ultra
Wow! 2 marathons or ultras in a year! You are amazing!
Camp Saratoga Snowshoe Race
Join the Stryders at our second Snowshoe Race of the season. Enjoy your trip through wonderful Camp Saratoga - part of the Wilton Wildlife Preserve. Warm up after the race at the firepit with s'mores!

SE ANY Adirondack Trail Race
Adirondack Runners host a series of trail races at Cole's Woods in Glens Falls each Tuesday in May. Run any one of these for 2 points in the Stryders Grand Prix. Cole's Woods (next to GF YMCA) Glen Street, Glens Falls, NY Must register online. https://www.zippy-reg.com/online_reg/index.php?e=2428
Global Running Day 2026
Fun event for all! Earn 2 points for the Grand Prix just for being there and hanging out with the Styrders.
