Silken Twine Charity's run and walk event: Sophie's Steps

We invite you to join us for the sixth annual Silken Twine Charity’s in-person/virtual run and walk event, “Sophie’s Steps 2025.

Join us for Sophie's Steps 2026 at Lukens Park in Horsham, PA on September 27th from 9 am to 1 pm. In-person registration will begin at 8 am.
Sophie's Steps is a non-competitive 3-mile event, aimed at showing support for children battling pediatric cancers and their families.

All participants will be provided a complimentary t-shirt and water with lite snacks.

All participants will be automatically included in a raffle to win a prize! An additional prize will be awarded to the participant who walks/runs the greatest distance on the event day!  See the Event Info tab for more details.

About Us:
Silken Twine is a non-profit foundation dedicated to helping pediatric cancer patients and their families. With our support, over 500 families have received financial assistance for non-medical expenses, such as groceries and transportation. Additionally, we award a $1000 college scholarship to three accomplished and brave young cancer survivors every year.

"Sophie's Steps" holds a special place in our hearts, as it is named after our beloved Sophie Malaviya, who fought pediatric cancer for ten years before passing away in 2017. At Silken Twine, we firmly believe that the families of pediatric cancer patients should focus on their loved ones' recovery without worrying about financial burdens. By participating in Sophie's Steps and purchasing tickets, you are contributing to this noble cause. Your support allows us to continue making a positive impact and assisting even more families during these challenging times. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of those battling pediatric cancer.
