About this race

The Sirens and Sluggers 5K is a premier community event presented in proud partnership with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers and benefitting the Fayetteville Police Benevolence Fund. The race will start outside the stadium and send runners through downtown and back passing by the Fay PD building and finishing inside Segra Stadium for a unique finish line experience. Participants get shirts and race finishers will be presented with a finisher medal! Local businesses interested in sponsoring should reach out! Sponsor packages available.

Uniting minor league baseball enthusiasm with dedication to our civic heroes, this race brings together community members, first responders, and local businesses for a high-energy morning celebrating health, camaraderie, and public service.

Proceeds directly support the Fayetteville Police Benevolence Fund, providing vital resources including:

  • Emergency Relief: Financial assistance to officers and their families during critical illness, catastrophic injury, line-of-duty tragedy, or sudden hardship.
  • Education & Scholarships: Academic and college scholarship awards for the children of active and fallen officers.
  • Officer Wellness: Mental health, peer-support, and physical wellness initiatives for our local department.
  • Memorial Support: Honoring fallen officers and preserving their legacy of dedicated service to Fayetteville.
