Sixth Drive Out Sarcoma

Please join us for the Sixth Annual Drive Out Sarcoma Golf Tournament held at Overlook Golf Course in Lancaster, PA in honor of Ginny McCreary and her fight against stage IV CIC-DUX4 round cell sarcoma. This is a four-man scramble with a shotgun start at 1pm, dinner to follow. Lunch, Beer on the Course and Dinner at Stoner Grille is included in the cost for all golfers.     The fundraising dinner is family-friendly! We will have mini golf, a bounce house and other craft related activities for kids! For adults we'll have drinks, live music and lots of amazing raffles up for grabs! Adults and Children who would like to join us for dinner will need to purchase a Dinner Only Ticket.     Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Cleveland Clinic and The Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Center to support Sarcoma Cancer research. Thanks to all of your generosity in years past, we have been able to donate over $200,000 to sarcoma cancer patients and research!   We hope you can join us for this fun and inspiring event to Drive Out Sarcoma!  

Ginny's Story

  In the summer of 2019, Ginny noticed a small lump on her hip that overtime started to grow and cause pain. After an MRI it was determined that Ginny had a soft tissue mass on her left thigh. A biopsy was done declaring the mass a benign hematoma. It was removed in early October. A few days after surgery Ginny went to the ER after coughing up blood. A CT of the chest revealed in-numerous nodules all over her lungs. After 9 days in the hospital and 74 tests, Ginny was diagnosed with stage IV CIC-DUX4 round cell sarcoma on October 21st, 2019. The primary tumor was what they thought was the hematoma and it had already spread to the lungs, making it stage IV at diagnosis with a very poor prognosis for long term survival. Starting in November 2019 Ginny had been on multiple chemo treatments, had whole brain radiation, radiation and surgery to her left thigh. On August 15, 2021 Ginny passed away peacefully at home following her courageous battle. The family and friends Ginny left behind will continue to fight this horrible disease in her honor. Please continue to donate in honor of Ginny. We won't stop until we find a cure.
