August Cyclocross Skills Clinics: DATE TBD

This one-time clinic will go over key skills for beginners and some skills & drills for intermediate/advanced racers at Marshall Mountain. **Note** this clinic is for ALL genders, and will be led by two highly experienced female coaches. Please consider making a donation to MT Alpha to support our mission and to get more women on bikes (and racing cross!) Brand new to cyclocross? Learn how to hop on and off your bike, how to maneuver a race course, and what to expect at a cross race. Marilyn Rayner, a coach with Red Kite Coaching and long-time cyclocross racer will give you the 101! Are you a couple seasons deep in the cyclocross world, but want some refresher work before getting back out there? Jen, who has raced UCI CX races internationally, will give tips and go over skills with you so you feel ready to go when the gun goes off. Bios: Marilyn Rayner Marilyn has been coaching with Red Kite Coaching since 2018, bringing a wealth of experience from years of competitive racing. Since lining up for her first race in 2014, she’s gone on to compete in UCI cyclocross events and has developed a deep love for all things off-road. Whether it’s ripping through a muddy CX course, exploring new trails, or loading up for a multi-day bikepacking adventure, Marilyn loves using the bike to explore and connect with people. She’s passionate about helping riders of all levels build skills, confidence, and a love of riding that lasts far beyond race day. Jen Malik Jen is the current Singlespeed Cyclocross National Champion—and that’s just one of her many titles. A multi-time national champion with more than ten World Cup starts under her belt, she’s tested herself against the best on European cyclocross courses. Since “retiring” in 2025, Jen hasn’t exactly slowed down—she’s now tearing up the crit scene with Team Winston Salem - Flow. Beyond her own racing, Jen helped grow the next generation of riders by founding the NICA chapter in Ohio. When she’s not on two wheels, you’ll find her at home in Ohio with a lively menagerie of pets and a small hobby farm.
