PARKING:

There are two parking lots.

  • Lot 1 - Hyak Trailhead lot. All vehicles entering the state park must have a Discover Pass. These are sold onsite (and can be purchased the day of) or online (http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/). This lot fills up fast.

TUNNEL CONDITIONS:

Be prepared for extreme darkness and cold temperatures. For this event, LED lights will help illuminate the path, but a personal light is also recommended. The tunnel is chilly; the average temperature (year-round) is ~50 degrees, so we encourage you to wear a long-sleeved shirt or light jacket. The ground is made of compacted gravel.
