Paw Burner
The Paw Burner is an event for dog "pawticipants", their owners, and all others in an effort to come together to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The event HONORS the caregiving qualities of canine companions, CELEBRATES survivors, and REMEMBERS our loved ones both human and animal alike lost to cancer. This Paw Burner event is a fun time beginning with activities in the park for our furry friends followed by a 2 mile walk. Each registered participant will receive a "doggie bag" with our signature Paw Burner bandana. *LOCATION: SUNSET PARK, KIMBER *DATE: MAY 6, 2002 *TIME: 5:30PM - 7:00PM
Running
5K Run (chip timed)
All participants that are registered for the RUN will be CHIP TIMED. - All registered participants will receive a custom-printed, short sleeve, event shirt. Register prior to April 15 to guarantee an event shirt. - For safety reasons, dogs are NOT allowed. - Kids and strollers are welcome. Runners pushing joggers please start in the back of the pack. - Young children riding in strollers DO NOT need to be registered.
5K Walk (self-timed)
All participants that are registered for the WALK will be SELF TIMED. - All registered participants will receive a custom-printed, short sleeve, event shirt. Register prior to April 15 to guarantee an event shirt. - For safety reasons, dogs are NOT allowed. - Kids and strollers are welcome. Runners pushing joggers please start in the back of the pack. - Young children riding in strollers DO NOT need to be registered.
Kids Fun Run (Kids 13 & Under)
Kids 13 & under can join in the Kids Fun Run sponsored by AZCO. This non-competitive, .5 mile run takes place at 8:15am. All kids will also receive a goodie bag at the event! Kids are also welcome to run/walk in the 5K race at no extra cost.
Virtual 5K Walk/Run
With our virtual race option you can run from anywhere at anytime! You choose the time and place to walk or run your 5K (3.14 miles). Your 5K can be done on your favorite trail, while on vacation, or on your treadmill. You can do it on any day that works for you. When you register for the virtual race you will receive: - Our super soft event shirt - Event race bib - Online fundraising tools - You will be eligible for the fun Sole Burner contest and prizes leading up to the event. Virtual Race Rules: Our virtual runs are staged completely on the honor system. By registering, we assume you will complete the mileage required. After registering for the Virtual Race, you may complete your 5K (3.14 miles) until December 1. Virtual Race Entry fees are non-transferable and non-refundable. No exceptions.
