Somersfield Academy Fun Run and Walk

Please join us Sunday December 6 for the annual Somersfield Academy Fun Run!

There will be a 5K run/walk, 1 mile run or for the younger children one lap of the field (approximately 400m) run.

• All the routes start and finish on the Somersfield school field.
• One Somersfield primary class (lower primary to upper primary) with the most participants and one Somersfield secondary class (M1 to DP2) with the most participants, will be given a grub day. 
• We encourage students to wear their Somersfield Academy PE shirts.
• Non Somersfield students and their families are also encouraged to participate.

This list of events and Somersfield Class Years are:

• Children's House 400m (age 3-6, up to P1)
• Lower Primary 400m (age 6-9, P2-P4)
• Upper Primary 400m (age 9-11, P5 and P6)
• Upper Primary 1 mile (age 9-11, P5 and P6)
• Middle school 1 mile (age 10-14, M1-M3)
• Middle school 5k (age 10-14, M1-M3)
• Senior school 1 mile (age 14-18, M4 and Older)
• Senior school 5k (age 14-18, M4 and Older)
• Open 5k competitive run (18+)
• (Non-competitive 5k run/walk. (Children younger than 10 years old may participate in the non-competitive run/walk if accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the course)

Notes:

• For Children's House, parents may run the 400m with their children
• The minimum age to do the competitive 5k is 10 years old
• Participants can sign up for multiple events if the indicated start/finish times permit by entering separately for each event

Schedule:

• 8:30 am 400m races (Each Race will finish before the start of the next)
• 9:00 am 1 mile start (Will start after the 400M Races are completed)

Approx. 9:15 am Prizegiving for 400m and 1 mile Races

• 9:30 am 5k start (Will start after Prizegiving for the above races)

Approx. 10:30 am Prizegiving for 5k

NUMBER COLLECTION:

Saturday December 5 from 10am-12pm at Somersfield Academy main entrance next to the roundabout. 

PARKING

Parking is limited at the School, additional parking has been made available at Lindo's Market.

PRIZES 

Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd MALE and FEMALE in each of the following categories:

• Children’s House 400m Age 3-6
• Lower Primary 400m Age 6-9
• Upper Primary 400m Age 9-11
• Upper Primary 1 mile Age 9-11
• Middle School 1 mile Age 10-14
• Middle School 5K Age 10-14
• Senior School 1 mile Age 14-18
• Senior School 5K Age 14-18
• Open Competitive 5K Run Ages 18-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55+

There will be a draw after all the race are completed for draw prizes. You will have to be present when your number is drawn to claim the prize. 

• Sorry, but you must use a credit card that will work overseas to pay for any registrations
• PLEASE NOTE: FOR SAFETY REASONS STROLLERS ARE ONLY PERMITTED IN THE NON-COMPETITIVE WALK AND WE WOULD ASK THAT YOU START NEAR THE BACK TO AVOID ANY INTERFERENCE WITH OTHER PARITICPANTS.
• Please do not bring dogs to the Start/Finish Area in the interest of other participants.
