Sonoma County Balloon Chase 5k
About the Event
Join us for the first annual Sonoma County Balloon Chase 5k and Little Chasers 1k dash! Presented to you by the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic.
This event will take place on Sunday May 3rd at 8am at Keiser Park in Windsor, California!
The course is a 3.1 mile road route looping around the gorgeous Starr Road and Windsor River Road areas in Windsor. Starting and ending in Keiser park. Strollers allowed. Please leave dogs at home.
5k entrants receive a hat and collectible pin
1k entrants receive a collectible pin with option to add a hat with additional fee.
All participant entry includes the opportunity to take photographs with local hot air balloons, learn about what it takes to fly (and chase!) hot air balloons
Parking Included with price of registration.
Packet pickup will be available Saturday May 2nd at Sports Basement in Santa Rosa from 10am to 4pm. We recommend picking up your packet ahead of time to avoid the rush and lines on race morning.
Race day packet pickup will be available at 7am on May 3rd.
Join fellow runners on May 3, 2026 for the Sonoma County Balloon Chase 5k. It's a fantastic 5K, 1K featuring a flat and fast course in Windsor.

All participants 12 and over must purchase an adult entry. The course is a 5k run looping around the gorgeous Starr Road and River Road areas in Windsor. Starting and ending in Keiser park. Strollers allowed. Please leave dogs at home.
Balloon Chase 5k Kids Entry
This entry is for kids who will be 12 and under on race day! 5k run looping around the gorgeous Starr Road and River Road areas in Windsor. Starting and ending in Keiser park. Strollers allowed. Please leave dogs at home.
Little Dashers 1k
Short dash options for our kiddos! Parents are welcome to join the dash for free with their kids. Dash includes short course within the park with a custom balloon pin. Hat not included but available for purchase.
