Lace up your shoes, grab your lawn chair, and prepare for a little red, white, and woo-hoo!
Join us on July 4th for a fun and FREE 5K or 3K run/walk as we celebrate our Upstate Running Club members, running family, and the kind of summer night that feels best with trail dust on your shoes and fireworks in the sky.
After the run, stick around for a post-run social, potluck dinner, food, drinks, fireworks, and whatever zippity-do-dah energy the night decides to bring. This is not a fancy banquet. This is a backyard-style, running-family friendza where everyone brings a little something, shares a few laughs, and helps turn Lakewood Nature Preserve into the most patriotic aid station in Greenville.
Bring a side dish, dessert, snacks, drinks, camp chairs, picnic blankets, or anything that makes a summer gathering better. Fireworks are welcome too, but please keep it to the kind that lights up the sky, not the kind that turns someone’s hand into a math problem.
Camping is available for $25 per participant for anyone who wants to keep the freedom festivities rolling under the moon and stars.
Please note that there is no water or power on site, but we do have plenty of open parking, beautiful nature trails, wildlife, wide-open sky, and just enough controlled chaos to make this a Fourth of July night worth remembering.
