Experience the 2026 Prairie Fire Race Series, presented by Davis-Moore Automotive Group!
Runners who take on the Back 2 Back Challenge—completing both the Spring and Fall races—will earn an exclusive Prairie Fire Branded Puffy Vest, awarded at the Fall race!

- 5K Run (Timed)
- Mayor’s Friendly 5K (Untimed) — perfect for duos who want all the fun without the competition!
All races start at Century II Plaza, 225 W. Douglas Street, Wichita, KS.

Spring Half Marathon
The 2022 Spring Half Marathon will begin in downtown Wichita close to the banks for the Arkansas River. The race heads west through the campus of Friends University, then comes back east through historic the Delano neighborhood, down along the banks of the Arkansas River, through the scenic Riverside neighborhood. Don't forget to enjoy the River and our beautiful Riverfront Stadium as you finish at the starting line for a good ole' Midwest post-race party!
Spring 5K
The 2022 5K course is flat and fast! Be ready to break a PR and enjoy the sites along the Arkansas River and Riverfront Stadium!
Friendly 5K
Friendly 5K rate allows two participants per registration. Both runners receive a shirt and medal, but no timing device. Great way to enjoy a relaxed 5K without the expectation of finishing with a fast time.
Back To Back Spring 5K to Fall 5K
Get the calendar laid out for the year with our Spring and Fall, Back2Back 5K races. Sign up early and save! Back2Back finishers receive an additional performance shirt and commemorative medal for their efforts.
