St. Charles Cheer

We are excited for our 2026-2027 cheer season.  We thank everyone for your ongoing support and look forward to having a successful season!

Children in K through 8th grade and attending St. Charles Borromeo School or attending the St. Charles Borromeo Religious Education Program are eligible to participate.  Enrollment will be verified to confirm eligibility.  Registration by October 15th is required.  

This required medical form will need to be completed by the first practice in order to participate in St. Charles Cheer. Sports physicals are valid for one year from the date the physician signs the bottom of the form. To be eligible for participation, the physical must be valid on the first day of the sports season. As a general guideline, the physician's signature date must be within one year prior to October 1 for Winter Sports (Cheer and Basketball). Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule your child's physical, as appointments and paperwork may take weeks to complete. 

A hard copy of the completed form can be dropped off at the School Office, or an electronic version can be emailed directly to Angie Wojnar at awojnar@comcast.net (preferred method).

Our program will focus on the basics, emphasizing cheering, jumping, and chanting, with the goal of providing excitement and fun during our basketball games. We will not be utilizing extensive and difficult stunts. However, coaches will be properly trained on techniques and mechanics for any stunts performed to ensure children’s safety.  

The registration and uniform cost is $110, which does not include sneakers but will include all the uniform pieces and accessories (socks. bloomers, bodysuit, skirt, shirt, and bow).  Children will need to purchase their own white sneakers.

The season starts at the end of October and continues through the end of February. 

Practices: Thursday evenings starting at either 5pm or 5:30pm (could vary on occasion if there is a conflict with another event) from the end of October through February 

The Cheerleading team will cheer for St. Charles Borromeo Basketball teams at home games.  Games are mostly Sunday afternoons (could be an occasional Friday evening or Saturday afternoon).
