ABOUT THE ST. CAMILLUS FOOD PANTRY

St. Camillus Food Pantry is a direct service ministry of St. Camillus Catholic Church. The pantry's goal is to promote food security for members of our local community.  We follow the model of St. Francis of Assisi to serve those who live on the margins of our society with respect for their dignity as our brothers and sisters.

Food security is access to safe, adequate, sufficient, easy-to-use, and culturally appropriate food throughout the year.  Capital Area Food Bank defines a meal as 1.2 pounds of food.  With the weight of each distribution, last year St. Camillus Food Pantry served 885,000 meals.  

We are supported completely by an all-volunteer staff and are continuing to see increasing numbers of families reaching out to us for assistance.

St. John the Baptist KofC supports a parish food collection on the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month with all items and money donated to St. Camillus Food Pantry.
