Stardust Color Run
About this race
Get ready to run, walk, and make a difference at the Stardust Color Run in beautiful Florence, Alabama! This fun-filled, family-friendly event brings our community together to support two incredible causes that are changing lives right here in the Shoals.
Proceeds from the Stardust Color Run will benefit Shoals United Stars, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and the Stardust Club of Florence Leadership Scholarship.
Shoals United Stars, Inc. provides school-age children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in organized recreational sports, including basketball, baseball, flag football, and other athletic activities. The program serves students throughout Lauderdale County who have cognitive or adaptive disabilities that significantly impact their ability to participate in traditional athletic programs. Through inclusive sports and recreational experiences, participants develop confidence, teamwork, friendships, and lifelong memories in a supportive environment.
Funds raised through the Color Run will help provide team jerseys, sports equipment, water and refreshments, facility rentals for practices and games, and meaningful social engagement activities throughout the school year, ensuring every athlete has the opportunity to participate regardless of financial circumstances.
The event also supports the Stardust Club of Florence Leadership Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to deserving young women who have demonstrated leadership, service, and commitment to their communities. Each year, scholarships are awarded to four or five graduating members of the Stardust Club who plan to attend college but have limited financial resources to help achieve their educational goals.
Whether you're an experienced runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a fun day with family and friends, your participation makes a lasting impact. Every registration helps create opportunities for young athletes with disabilities to experience the joy of sports while also investing in the future of local young women pursuing higher education.
Join us for an unforgettable day filled with color, community, and compassion—and help us make a difference one step at a time!
