Steelman Racing Open Water Classic
About this race
Steelman Racing Open Water Classic will be held on August 23rd, 2026, at Nockamixon State Park, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This is the second race in the 2026 Steelman Racing Open Water Swim Series and this race is one of the best open water swimming events in Pennsylvania! The Open Water Classic will allow swimmers to choose either a 1, 2, or 3 mile courses in the beautiful, clear waters of Lake Nockamixon. Swimmers can expect warm, 70-degree water temperatures, and a safe, well-supported racing environment. Awards are presented to the top overall male/female, top overall male/female/co-ed relays, and three deep-in-age divisions from 13 – 80 years old. After the race, all athletes will be treated to an awesome post-race party with tons of food and music. We hope to see you out there at the Steelman Racing Open Water Classic!

Swimming
1 Mile (Wet Suit and Non-Wet Suit)
The 1 mile race combines wet suit and non-wet suit swimmers in one event. All wet suit and non wet suit swimmers in this event will be competing against each other.
2 Mile (Non-Wet Suit)
The 2 mile non-wet suit race is for athletes not wearing a wet suit during the swim. Swimmers will only be competing against other swimmers not wearing wet suits.
2 Mile (Wet Suit)
The 2 mile wet suit race is for athletes wearing a wet suit during the swim. Swimmers will only be competing against other swimmers wearing wet suits.
3 Mile (Non-Wet Suit)
The 3 mile non-wet suit race is for athletes not wearing a wet suit during the swim. Swimmers will only be competing against other swimmers not wearing wet suits.
3 Mile (Wet Suit)
The 3 mile wet suit race is for athletes wearing a wet suit during the swim. Swimmers will only be competing against other swimmers wearing wet suits.
3 Mile Relay
Open Water Classic 3 Mile Relay can be completed by two or three athletes. Athletes may choose to wear, or not wear a wet suit for this event.
