Step Up & Step Out is more than a race—it’s a movement. Join us for The Up Center’s annual fundraising event as we climb, run, and walk together to strengthen families, protect children, and empower individuals across Hampton Roads. Whether you’re taking on the stair climb challenge inside Harbor Park or hitting the course for the 2-mile run/walk, you’ll be part of something bigger: hope, healing, and community.

Step Up Stair Climb
Take your race experience to new heights! In this one-of-a-kind challenge, participants will climb their way up and down the stairs throughout Harbor Park. Feel the rush as you conquer multiple levels of the stadium, winding through the stands and overlooking the field where baseball history is made. This isn’t your average workout—it’s a test of endurance, grit, and determination. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or just looking for a fun, adrenaline-filled fitness adventure, the stair climb delivers. Step Out Walk/Run
Lace up and hit the scenic Elizabeth River Trail for our family-friendly run/walk! Starting at Harbor Park, this flat and accessible course winds along the waterfront, offering stunning views of the Elizabeth River and the heart of downtown Norfolk. Whether you’re running for time, walking with friends, or pushing a stroller, this route is designed for everyone. With fresh river breezes, lively crowd support, and a cause worth every step, the 2-mile run/walk is the perfect way to move your body, lift your spirit, and make a difference for families in our community.
