About this race
The friends and family of Colleen Ritzer created this 5K Walk/Run to celebrate Colleen’s life and her commitment to helping and inspiring others. Through the Step Up for Colleen Walk/Run, organizers and participants celebrate Colleen and the values by which she lived. The net proceeds benefit the Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Fund, Inc. which benefits charitable activities honoring Colleen’s legacy including the Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Scholarship. The Scholarship was established by Colleen’s family to benefit graduating high school seniors, who are Andover and Danvers residents, who demonstrate a passion for teaching, academic excellence and love of family and who will pursue a degree in education.

Join us in Andover, MA on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 9 a.m. to celebrate the life and legacy of Colleen Ritzer at the 8th Annual Step Up for Colleen 5K Walk/Run! Colleen's friends and family created this event to honor her life and commitment to teach and inspire others. Join a community of runners and walkers to celebrate Colleen and the values by which she lived! Registration fees will be $25 through July 31st then increase to $30.00 through September 16th. The registration fee will be $35.00 from September 17th through race day. There will be a small processing fee for credit card registrations. The first 3,000 registrants will receive a t-shirt. Net proceeds from this event benefit charitable activities that honor the legacy of Colleen Ritzer, including the Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
