Step Up for the Brave
About this race
Join us for the 12th Annual Step Up for the Brave, presented by Homes for the Brave.
From August 10th to 14th, participate in the Virtual Walking Challenge from anywhere in the world. Register individually or as a team, track your daily steps, and log them on our website. The top individuals and teams will win fantastic prizes.
On Saturday, August 15th, head to Sacred Heart University - Martire Family Arena for the main event. Challenge yourself with the 90-minute Stair Climb, where you'll ascend and descend 500 stairs per round. If you prefer a different pace, join the 90-minute Walking Challenge on a specially designed indoor course. Every step you take supports Veterans experiencing homelessness. No matter your age or fitness level, you can make a difference. Lace-up your sneakers and get moving for a great cause!

STEP UP Walk Challenge
Participate in this 90 Minute stair climb challenge circling around the interior of the Sacred Heart University Martire Family Arena and completing .40 miles of stairs and a stroll around the exterior of the ice rink on each lap. A great wrap up to the upcoming virtual challenge. Each Lap contains: .20 miles of distance 450 Steps taken 80 Stairs climbed 150 Total Stairs Once the event is done, you can also participate in this one-week virtual step challenge held at your own pace and location. Walk for veterans and show your Homes for the Brave pride all week long! See how many laps you can complete in the 90 minutes! Participation fee includes a complimentary Event Shirt
