Steps for Stegman
About the Event
Jardine Elementary is hosting a 5K walk/run through the neighborhood in honor and support of our Instructional Coach, Dr. Bridget Stegman. She was diagnosed with ALS, and proceeds for the event will go toward the ALS Association, Mid-America Chapter. In 4 years we have raised $19,850 from Steps for Stegman.
The 5K will take participants through the neighborhood around Jardine Elementary. Parking is available in the West and South parking lots. The event will start on the East side of the building.
All registrants will receive an event T-shirt, if registration is completed by April 4th. If you are unable to participate in the race, but still want to contribute, please click the "Donate" button! If you would like to receive a t-shirt, you must register as a runner, even if you don't plan to run/walk.
On the day of the event, check-in will begin at 7:30am. The run will begin at 8:30am.
Join fellow runners on May 2, 2026 for the Steps for Stegman. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Topeka.

Running
5K Run (with shirt)
Register as a runner by April 3rd to receive a shirt.
Virtual 5K
This option will include a shirt and honorary running bib for the event. These items will be shipped to the participant. To receive a shirt, registration must be completed by April 3rd.
1 Mile Fun Run with shirt
This is a shorter course for kids and their families to participate together. This course does not cross any streets to support child safety! Each family member needs to register separately. Register by April 3rd to receive a shirt.
5K Run (NO shirt)
This option is to register as a runner/walker. An event t-shirt is not included in this option.
