Summer Grove Baptist Church 5K & 10K Mission Race

Join us for our 14th year of racing! It is our mission to assist in providing some of the necessary funds to missionaries across the globe and locally in their work to take God's love and salvations to others.

Missionaries like Matt and April, from Shreveport, are serving in Ecuador. For several years, they have served in the calling to change lives toward Jesus through a soccer program. God has done amazing things through a soccer ball and programs Matt and April have built.

Missionaries like Jacob and Amanda, who left Shreveport to start a church in Boston. Today, Valley Church is growing in members and staff through the work Jacob and Amanda started.

This is what the SGBC Mission Race is all about.  Missionaries!

This event is open to RUNNERS and WALKERS. 

10K participants must be able to complete the 10k course within 1.5 hour time limit. No walkers will be allowed on the 10k course

5K/10K participants must be 10 years of age and up.

Dogs and baby strollers are welcome.   Dogs must be on a leash at all times.  No bikes will be allowed.

Race Day Extras:

Jambalaya will be available for everyone after the race.

Music and Fellowship provided all morning long.
