As part of our enchanting Language of Flowers Series, this race is inspired by the symbolism of the sunflower: happiness, strength, loyalty, positivity, and unwavering optimism. Sunflowers are known for following the sun across the sky, reminding us to keep seeking light even through difficult seasons.

Whether you are running toward a goal, healing, starting over, or simply celebrating life, this race is your reminder to bloom boldly and stand tall.

Complete your race anytime between July 1 and December 31, 2026 — wherever and however you choose. Run outdoors, walk your neighborhood, hike a trail, or complete your miles on a treadmill.

🏅 Medals begin shipping in mid-June 2026 and feature a stunning sunflower-inspired design that radiates warmth, encouragement, and sunshine.

The SUNFLOWER race is part of our Language of Flowers Series, where every race celebrates the meaning and symbolism behind beloved flowers from around the world.

🌎 15% of every registration will be donated to a charity that helps protect wildlife and fragile ecosystems around the globe.

 What is a Virtual Race?                             

A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or ev en at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running and walking on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5Ks, 10K, half marathon and more!

For each of our virtual races, we choose a charity to donate a portion of each registration to. We’ve already raised more than $1,00,000 for charities from races here at Virtual Run Events!  Our goal is to continue to help different charities around the world.
