About this race
Join us for Team APMA Annual's 5K Fun Run at the APMA Annual Scientific Meeting (The National). Set against the scenic backdrop of the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, this event unites participants of all ages and fitness levels in support the APMA Educational Foundation's mission of supporting podiatric medical students. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a first-time walker, this event offers a fun and meaningful way to get active and contribute to a meaningful cause. Don't miss the chance to be part of this exciting event!
Thanks to the generosity of APMA members and friends, the foundation awards more than 200 scholarships annually to podiatric medical students, advancing the growth and stability of podiatric medicine. Proceeds from your registration will support student financial aid through the foundation. Scholarships are awarded to eligible third-, and fourth-year podiatric medical students at the accredited colleges of podiatric medicine.
Since its inception, more than 1,900 runners and walkers have participated in the APMA 5K Run/Walk raising more than $200,000. Show your support as we celebrate this milestone!
HOW DOES THE 5K WORK?
1) Register for the event. You can run or walk the 5K onsite at The National. The first 100 race participants will receive a limited edition Team APMA 5K race t-shirt.
2) Arrive 15 minutes early on race day to check in and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
3) Whether you run, walk, jog, or skip, what matters most is that you are supporting the APMA Educational Foundation and the future of podiatry.
4) Celebrate your accomplishment by posting a picture on social media in your race gear with the hashtag #TeamAPMA.

Join fellow runners on July 14, 2023 for the Team APMA 5K Fun Run. It's a fantastic 10K, Marathon, 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Nashville.

Team APMA 10K Run/Walk
Avid runner? Goal setter? Run (or walk) the Team APMA 10K race from home! You can run all 10K at once or split the distance into smaller segments, running them throughout a 10-day race window. There will not be a 10K option onsite in Nashville. Those wishing to support the APMA Educational Foundation by running the Team APMA 10K race will have a 10-day window to complete their goal from home. If you are running the 10K from home, and will not be attending The National in Nashville, please opt to have your race shirt shipped to your home address by checking off the "shipped" box.
Team APMA Marathon
Looking for the ultimate challenge? Run the Team APMA Marathon in 2023! You can run the full marathon in one go, or split the distance into smaller segments, running them throughout a 10-day race window. There will not be a marathon option onsite in Nashville. Those wishing to support the APMA Educational Foundation by running the Team APMA Marathon race will have a 10-day window to complete their goal from home. If you are running the marathon from home, and will not be attending The National in Nashville, please opt to have your race shirt shipped to your home address by checking off the "shipped" box.
Team APMA 5K Run/Walk
On-site 5K run/walk in Nashville on Saturday, July 15. The Team APMA 5K shirts will available for pickup in Nashville. The Team APMA 5K Run/Walk will be held onsite in Nashville. You may also choose to run or walk the 5K from home as long as you finish the challenge within a 10-day race window. If you are running the 5K from home, please opt to have your race shirt shipped to your home address by checking off the "shipped" box.
