"In 1976, the runner’s high was taking the country by storm. Fifty years later, Fleet Feet and Brooks are still celebrating that feeling with The Big Run, bringing runners together for feel-good movement, summer sunshine and celebration rooted in community.
So join us, and let the good miles roll!"
Lace up your running shoes and join us for a special edition of The BIG Run! Not only will we be celebrating Global Running Day with a FREE community 5K, but we're also celebrating the Fleet Feet's 50th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the Raleigh/Morrisville franchise!
Here's what's included:

*You must register, attend the race, and check in to receive your medal and be eligible to win a shoe
Schedule
7:00AM: Check-in begins. When you arrive to WakeMed Soccer Park, be sure to check in with one of the workers
7:30AM: Warm up with Black Girls RUN! & pre-run announcements
8:00AM RUN BEGINS
9:00AM: Post-run yoga with YogaSix (Bring a mat and towel if you plan to participate) & cold plunge
NOTE: This is not a race, it's a celebratory 5K fun run. There is not official timing or results.
Dogs are NOT allowed at the park/on the course.

The BIG Run 5K
This is an untimed 5K fun run on WakeMed Soccer Park's cross country course which is mostly grass and dirt. Keep in mind that since the course is not on pavement and includes sections of rough terrain in the woods, it is not very stroller friendly.
