The Dan Seavey Trail Blazer 5K
About the Event
In honor of the legendary Dan Seavey, The Iditarod Trail Blazers and Seward Sports and Recreation will be hosting the first annual Dan Seavey Trailblazer 5k. Dan was a founder of the Iditarod Trailblazers and even competed in the very first Iditarod race. For this memorial race we thought it only made sense that there would be dogs running along side the participants.
There are 4 Categories for the 5k:
- Adult Men's
- Youth Boy's
- Adult Women's
- Youth Girl's
Race Rules and Requirements:
- Dogs must be leashed
- Contestants can start anytime between 10:00am-1:00pm. In order to make sure everyone and their furry friends stay happy and safe, we will be running this race with staggered start times. Your start time is completely up to you (show up when you want!), so long as it is between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
Bib Pick Up
Bib pick up will start on race day at 8:30am and will end at 1:00pm.
Post Race Celebration:
Festivities will continue at the Branson Pavilion after the race.
