The Derek Dexter Memorial 5K

Please join us for the 2nd Annual Derek Dexter Memorial 5k run at Lake St. Clair Metropark on Saturday, 5/2, at 9 a.m. Packet pick-up and on-site registration are available prior to the race, starting at 8:00 a.m.

Onsite registration will increase to $50 and is CASH ONLY.

*Please note that a MetroParks pass or a $10 day pass is required to enter Lake Saint Clair MetroPark.*

This is a stroller and dog friendly race course.

What we're running for

Proceeds from the Derek Dexter Memorial 5K Run carry Derek’s spirit forward by supporting Michigan students.  Through the Derek Dexter Foundation Scholarship, we award one or more $1000 scholarships each year based on fundraising results to cross country or track & field student athletes pursuing an undergraduate degree or a trade school program.  As fundraising allows, we also provide running shoes to support student athletes. The Derek Dexter Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  

Join fellow runners on May 3, 2025 for the The Derek Dexter Memorial 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Harrison Twp.
