The Great Twilight Deadman's Hill 2 Mile Run

All ages, join us for the fastest two mile race in Frederick County, Maryland!***

2 mile race that is 95% flat or downhill. Bring your own parachute to slow you down! Check out a map of the race course here.

START:
7:00PM (<---HENCE TWILIGHT!) ON SATURDAY AUGUST 22,2026
PRE-REGISTRATION, BIB PICK UP, AND RACE DAY REGISTRATION IS AT THE STARTING LINE. THE STARTNG LINE WILL BE AT BRUNSWICK MIDDLE SCHOOL PARKING LOT off Cummings Drive, Brunswick, MD   21716

THIS IS A POINT TO POINT RACE. NOT OUT AND BACK. 

THE FINISH LINE IS DOWNTOWN BRUNSWICK AT THE SQUARE CORNER PARK. WE SUGGEST COMING IN ADVANCE, PARKING AT RAILROAD PARKING LOT OF DOWNTOWN BRUNSWICK AND USING ONE OF OUR FREE SHUTTLES TO SHUTTLE YOU TO THE STARTING LINE SO THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO GET BACK TO YOUR VEHICLE AFTER YOU FINISH THE RACE.

Pre-race (online pre-registration closes AUGUST 15TH @ 11:59PM, BUT you can register on race day for an extra $5)
12 & Under: $5

COURSE:
This is a fast mostly downhill run. 
Start at the Brunswick Middle School, address is  301 Cummings Drive, Brunswick MD  21716.
Runners will run along Cummings Drive, turn onto 9th Ave, then make a left turning down the famous "Deadman's Hill" with a run along East Potomac Street to the finish at Square Corner Park.

FINISH LINE TREATS:
At the conclusion of the run, participants will be treated to an Ice Cream Sundae, lemonade, and snacks. Ice Cream provided by Little Red Barn Ice Cream Shop, Jefferson Maryland.

AWARDS:
This is not an award race, but final times will be kept for those with interest in getting a time for the 2 mile run.

SHUTTLE SERVICE TO START & REGISTRATION WILL DEPART FROM SQUARE CORNER PARKING AREA IN DOWNTOWN BRUNSWICK
River & Trail Outfitters will provide shuttle service, starting near square corner park in downtown Brunswick at the main stop light, 1 East Potomac Street corner of Maple Ave. and Potomac St.  The shuttle van will allow runners to park near the finish and get a ride up to the start area. Runners can park in the MARC train lot, and get a ride to the start by way of the River & Trail Shuttle Van.  The shuttle will depart at 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm.  This will allow you to park near the finish and have your car available when the race ends.  You can also park near the start at Brunswick Middle School and do registration there, then arrange for your own ride back to the start and your car.  IT’S YOUR CHOICE.
