About this race
Join us on Sunday, April 25, 2027 for the 8th annual Izzo Run/Walk/Roll!
The Izzo Legacy is proud to host this premier experience on the campus of Michigan State University. The mission is to bring together MSU alumni and communities from all across the state and beyond in a shared commitment to giving back, supporting meaningful causes, and building a lasting legacy of service. The events include a 5K Run/Walk, 5K Roll, 1/2 K Walk/Roll, Kids Races, and a Virtual 5K; all centered on fitness, fun, family, Spartan spirit, and the power of charitable impact.
Proceeds from the 2027 Izzo Run/Walk/Roll will support charity partners and an endowment for The Izzo Legacy that will ensure charitable giving for years to come. In addition, participants can donate to select local charities through the registration process or on the donation page.

The Virtual Izzo
The Virtual Izzo is an opportunity to participate in the event from any location in the world! Register, then run, walk, or roll your own distance, at your own pace, from any location, and your Izzo t-shirt, bib number, and medal will be shipped directly to you. *Shipping costs are included in registration.
Wheelchair
5K Roll
The Roll division welcomes participants with physical disabilities to participate using hand cycles, wheelchairs, and walking-assistive devices. Besides strollers, which are allowed in both the 5K Run/Walk and 1/2 Mile Walk/Roll, all other forms of wheeled devices are prohibited. This includes bikes, rollerblades, and scooters. Please note: Those using a wheelchair, hand cycle, or walking-assistive device can also participate in the 1/2 Mile Walk/Roll if that is the preferred distance.
Walking
1/2 K Walk/Roll
This event is open to both walking participants as well as participants with physical disabilities using hand cycles, wheelchairs, and walking-assistive devices.
