The Mackyard Ultra presented by Baltimore Road Runners Club
About this race
The Baltimore Road Runners Club is thrilled to bring a sanctioned backyard ultra to the Baltimore running community by partnering with race founder Mac McComas to present the 5th annual Mackyard Ultra!
For those unfamiliar with backyard ultras, it is commonly referred to as a "last man standing" event. Runners will complete a 4.1667 mile course each hour until one person completes a lap (called a yard) by themselves. That person is the winner and only finisher of the race.
The race will take place at Shawan Downs on their cross country course, so be ready to run on grass with plenty of ups, downs, twists, and turns to keep you engaged on each out and back lap.
