The Memorial 5K

Join the Memorial 5K Foundation to honor our nation and remember the service and sacrifice of those who have died in the line of duty.  Participate in the 5th Annual Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Our area veterans and active-duty service members will conduct a brief ceremony of remembrance followed by the running of our unique 5K race.

The racecourse, through the Lake Barrington Shores community, has been certified by U.S. Track and Field and will be professionally chip timed.  Participants will receive a race tech shirt and beautiful finishers medal as part of their registration. 

The Memorial 5K is a 100% Charity 5K Race. The proceeds from your race registration will benefit the Memorial 5K Foundation, which supports the work of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. 

Start Time: 8:00 AM.  A Ceremony of Remembrance will proceed the Memorial 5K Race Start.

Where:  Starting Line at Market Place Shopping Center, Corner of Kelsey Road and Route 59 in Lake Barrington, 60010.  Parking available at ReMax Properties Northwest, 5041 Shoreline Road, Lake Barrington, IL 60010.

Join fellow runners on May 29, 2022 for the The Memorial 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Lake Barrington.
