What a fantastic, one-of-a-kind way to run around an airport while the runway is active. You will have an opportunity to see a variety of planes as they are on approach and landing as well as taking off from Currituck's regional airport. The 5k starts at the College of Albemarle entrance to the airport, follows a taxiway to the service road that goes around the runway. You will then venture onto a road that goes through the plane hangars and then goes out onto County property. This will lead you by ponds and out onto College Way, as you head back to the finish line, where you started at the College of the Albemarle airport entrance. This is a true 5k at 3.1 miles.
