About this race
The RWM Benchmark Series is a private virtual series for RunWithMort athletes and their inner circle. This isn't a race for medals or bragging rights. It's a structured fitness tool designed to give you honest, repeatable data on where your fitness stands and how it's moving over time.
Every event in the series uses the same format: a solo, timed event on a route of your choice. You run it, you log it, and your result becomes a data point in your personal performance story. Over multiple benchmarks, spaced months apart, you'll see your fitness respond to training in a way that no single race result can show you.
If you're a RunWithMort athlete, your benchmark results feed directly into your coaching picture. If you're part of our inner circle, this is a low-pressure way to get a real read on your current fitness, and a front-row seat to what data-driven training actually does.
No entry fees. No courses. No crowds. Just you, a set distance, and the truth.

Monkey Butt Hill Fiesta
A 3-hour hill repeat at Cross Timbers Hiking Trailhead at Lake Texoma. If you're a RunWithMort athlete, this feeds directly into your coaching. If you're training with me informally or you're in my circle, it's a low-pressure way to get a real fitness read. There's a donation opportunity for struggling families in the area if you want to contribute. Why this matters: One race result tells you almost nothing. A series of benchmarks shows you the truth about your fitness trajectory. That's what this is.
