Tri CLE: Cleveland’s Premier Multisport Event
Experience the ultimate multisport experience in Cleveland at Tri CLE! A signature multisport celebration hosted at the beautiful Edgewater Park. Whether you are an elite athlete or a first-time participant, our event offers a scenic course featuring a Lake Erie swim, a fast closed-to-traffic bike course on the Memorial Shoreway, and a run through one of the city's most iconic lakefront parks. With triathlon, duathlon, and aquabike racing categories—including Super Sprint, Sprint, and Olympic distances—Tri CLE provides a world-class racing experience in the heart of The Land.
Race options
We offer a variety of distances and relay options to ensure every athlete finds their perfect challenge. All events are USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned, providing a competitive and safe environment for all participants.
- Super Sprint
- Triathlon: 250-meter swim, 8.8-mile bike, and a 3K run.
- Duathlon: 1.63-mile run, 8.8-mile bike, and a 3K run.
- Sprint
- Triathlon: 750-meter swim, 12.1-mile bike, and a 5K run.
- Duathlon: 1.63-mile run, 12.1-mile bike, and a 5K run.
- Aquabike: 750-meter swim and 12.1-mile bike
- Olympic
- Triathlon: 1500-meter swim, 22.2-mile bike, and a 10K run.
- Duathlon: 1.63-mile run, 22.2-mile bike, and a 10K run.
- Aquabike: 1500-meter swim and 22.2-mile bike
- Relay options: (2-3 member team)
- Sprint Triathlon: 750-meter swim, 12.1-mile bike, and a 5K run.
- Olympic Triathlon: 1500-meter swim, 22.2-mile bike, and a 10K run.
The course is designed to highlight the very best of Cleveland’s lakefront and skyline.
- The Swim: Athletes begin with a beach start at Edgewater Park, swimming in the refreshing waters of Lake Erie. The swim is well-marked with professional buoys and supported by a comprehensive water safety team.
- The Bike: Our standout feature is the closed-to-traffic bike course on the Memorial Shoreway.Participants enjoy a ride with zero vehicular traffic, offering unparalleled views of the Cleveland skyline and downtown neighborhoods.
- The Run: The final leg takes place on the multipurpose paths of Edgewater Park and the Edgewater Neighborhood. This scenic course keeps runners close to the lake breeze and the cheering crowds, finishing at our high-energy festival area.
