Tri-Shark Classic Youth Splash and Dash
About the Event
This event is a USA Triathlon Splash & Dash Youth Aquathlon Series Event. The USA Triathlon Splash & Dash Youth Aquathlon Series is open to athletes ages 7-15. The focus is on PARTICIPATION rather than competition. There will be no timing at this event, we are focusing on participation.
The Splash & Dash is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. The Splash & Dash Series is a part of USA Triathlon’s emphasis on increasing opportunities and access to multisport events and clinics for current and prospective youth multisport athletes. Participants ages 7-10 will complete a 100-yard pond swim and an approximate 1-kilometer run, while athletes ages 11-15 will complete a 200-yard pond swim and an approximate 2k run. Events begin at 5:30 PM on Friday evening.
To participate you must be between the ages of 7-15 on race day and have a USA Triathlon annual youth membership. If you do not have a USAT Membership you are able to purchase a one day membership insurance fee.
