Trinity Missionary Baptist Church (Tmbc) Honolulu Hawaii 58 mile Virtual Run/Walk
About this race
About Trinity Missionary Baptist Church
TMBC was established in 1968. For almost 58 years, this historic multicultural congregation has served as a cornerstone for spiritual growth, civil rights activism, and community outreach on the island of Oahu. Affectionately known as the "transitional church," TMBC provides a sanctuary and temporary home of worship for military and government employees assigned to the island.
TMBC's impact extends far beyond its sanctuary walls. The church offers ministries in healthcare, prison outreach, and education, and regularly partners with local civil rights and community organizations. The church grounds often serve as the venue for island-wide cultural gatherings, including NAACP-hosted Black History Month events and Juneteenth celebrations.
Our Capital Campaign
TMBC now has another objective: paying off the balance of the church mortgage, which will enable the church to dedicate more resources to serving both our members and the local community. To achieve this, Dr. Anthony J. Cook, Pastor, has launched a capital campaign. This 58- mile virtual run/walk fundraiser is part of that effort.
Participants from all over the world will have the entire month of September to complete the 58-mile challenge.
