Fresno Half Marathon Relay
Relay is on the Fresno Half Marathon course only. Grab your friend, co-worker or a family member and create your Team today! -LEG 1: 7.2 miles -LEG 2: 5.9 miles A Relay bus (located at Friant and Audubon) will take the second leg relay member to his/her start point on the course. Bus will remain there to pick up the first relay member and will return directly to the finish area of Woodward Park. Sorry, we cannot make additional stops along the course. Only participants may ride the bus to the drop off points. Relay members should ride the bus to their start point, making it easier for you and your friends. Please arrive at the start of the race to make sure you get on the shuttle in time. The Relay Exchange point is the same as 2017. The turnaround point is at the end of Friant Road. This provides plenty of room for the relay athletes. It also allows the photographer to take First Leg finishing photos! It’s a great spot where your family and friends can join in the fun and celebrate your accomplishments. A Finisher medal and Finisher Shirt will be given out at the Relay Exchange to the runner who has just finished that leg. Our Relay Exchange points are clearly marked. Relay chip timing information will be provided for both runners. The relay course is well-marked with signage that provides directional information specifically for the Relay runners.
5k Run/Walk
Walk or run the 5k course and enjoy the post race food and festivities once you finish. 5k participants will receive Chip timing, Tech T Shirt and Medal, post race food, Michelob Ultra Beer Garden (21+), massage, and more! (Sweatshirt is not included for the 5k)
Gavin Gladding Memorial Mile
The Gavin Gladding Memorial mile will start near the 25 mile point on the Two Cities Marathon. We ask all participants to stay on the far right of the road/path. Parking will be available in the River Park Business Center across Audubon from Woodward Park. From there you can walk through the park to the west gate at Friant & Fort Washington Ave. Gavin Gladding was a father, husband, brother, son, teacher, mentor, coach, and a best friend to everyone he came into contact with. Gavin embraced life. Not a moment went by that he wasn't smiling, laughing, or looking for opportunities to share his love of nature and education with his family, friends, co-workers, and students. Gavin positively impacted the lives of so many, and spent his days making our world a better place. Gavin was training for the Two Cities Marathon on the morning of September 16, 2018, when he was taken from us, far too soon. It is now up to those of us who knew and loved Gavin to carry on in the way that he did: by spending our days doing whatever we can, to make our world a better place. Please join us in honoring Gavin’s life by participating in the Gavin Gladding Memorial Mile.
