Bed Race Fun Prix
These beds might look better than they run, and we encourage area businesses, groups, and organizations to be creative in all the things- car décor, music, theme, engineering, and team costumes. Teams of 5 adults will participate in the Parade of Beds- First and Second place winners will be awarded for costume and design. Additionally, teams will use their own strength to power their "bodacious" beds in bracket matches to determine who comes out on top with First or Second place in fastest car. Teams will be provided a bed with registration. If you would rather build your own, please contact the United Way office at 283-8923.
Bed Race Competition
This race is for speed! Winner gets bragging rights for the next year and special recognition. Teams will use their own strength and provided stock beds to compete in a bracket-style tournament to determine who comes out on top. First and Second place winners will be awarded for speed.
Cycling
Lights, Camera, Action: Golf Cart Parade!
No racing here, just a lot of fun to support a good cause! Here's your chance to make your golf cart the setting of your favorite movie, and YOU and your team get to be the main characters. We will have a prize for the best costume/design, so have fun with this! This parade will be in the spotlight between heats of the Bed Race, so you get the best of both worlds- watching the races and an being the center of attention during the parade. Plan to stay around for the Races, the bouncy houses, food trucks, and all of the fun. We will have dedicated parking for golf cart vehicles and trailers "on location" and all participants should check in between 1:30 and 2:15. The Bed Race Parade of Beds will be at 2:30 with Bed Races immediately following. Golf Cart parade will be held during an intermission of the bracket-style races. More specific information will follow. $10 suggested donation will support the programs of the United Way of Lancaster County!
