EVENT OVERVIEW

Texas Outlaw Running presents an exciting weekend of running, walking, and rucking at the Up & Away Run & Ruck in Longview TX, featuring the BLPH (Bush-League Pinch Hitters) 7 Miler Night Challenge on Friday night and the 6K and 13K Run or Ruck on Saturday morning. Hosted in the heart of Longview amidst the great Texas Balloon Race, this event offers a unique opportunity to race under the stars on Friday and enjoy the sight of hot air balloons filling the sky on Saturday, all while supporting a great cause.

Friday, June 12th kicks off the weekend with the BLPH Night Challenge, a 7-mile run or ruck starting at 8:00 PM. Take on this thrilling night route and earn the exclusive Night Challenge medal.

Then, on Saturday, June 13th, join us for the Up & Away Run & Ruck during the day. Choose between the 13K Sky High Run or Ruck (8.1 miles) or the 6K Sky High Run or Ruck (3.7 miles). Packet pickup will be from 6:00-6:30 AM, with the 13K Run or Ruck starting at 7:00 AM and the 6K Run or Ruck starting at 7:15 AM. Awards will follow at 8:15 AM, and all finishers will receive the Up & Away medal.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Bush-League Pinch Hitters (BLPH), a men’s addiction recovery home in Longview, TX, providing support and recovery services for men in need. Learn more about their mission at Bush-League Pinch Hitters.

RUCK REQUIREMENTS

• A rucksack, weight vest, or weight carrier
• Water/Hydration (16oz recommended)
• Any medication you might need

Weight requirements

• If you weigh more than 150 lbs = 30 lb. Ruck
• If you weigh less than 150 lbs = 20 lb. Ruck
