The Mile is having a moment — and now it’s your turn to be part of it!

This summer, the running world celebrated an incredible new milestone in the history of the Mile. The USA Virtual Mile gives runners and walkers everywhere a chance to celebrate the excitement, tradition, and simplicity of one of running’s greatest distances.

Just one mile. Run it. Walk it. Race it. Enjoy it.

Whether you’re chasing your fastest mile in years, testing your speed, coming back from an injury, walking your very first event, or simply looking for a fun reason to get moving, everyone has a place on the starting line.

⭐ THE CHALLENGE
Complete ONE MILE anytime and anywhere you choose.

Run your neighborhood. Walk your local track. Hit the treadmill. Race along the beach. Get together with friends or take on the Mile by yourself.

There is no required pace and no required location.

The only goal is to complete the distance — one mile, your way.

👕 YOUR NAME BECOMES PART OF THE SHIRT!
Here’s what makes the USA Virtual Mile especially unique:

Participants who complete the event and submit their results will have their NAME and FINISHING TIME printed with other finishers on the BACK OF THE EVENT T-SHIRT! Shirts will be mailed directly to participants once all results have been submitted and consolidated.

You won't just receive a race shirt.

You'll be part of it.

Imagine wearing a shirt that captures a moment in running history — with your own name and Mile time right there alongside runners and walkers from across the country and beyond.

Fast or slow, runner or walker, every Mile counts.

⏱️ SUBMIT YOUR RESULT BY SEPTEMBER 12
After completing your Mile, upload your finishing time to the event results.

All results must be submitted by September 12 to be included in the official results and on the back of the event shirt.

So lace up your shoes, choose your course, and see what you can do over one of the most legendary distances in running.

You don't have to break a record.

You just have to complete YOUR Mile.
