40-MILE
The 40-mile course is an out-and-back run that turns around at the 20-mile finish area. The time limit for the 40-mile is 12.5 hours. For the safety of participants and volunteers, 40M runners will be stopped at the 32-mile point after 5:00 pm, at the 35-mile point after 6:00 pm, and at the 38-mile point after 7:00 pm. To continue past the 32-mile point after 4:00 pm, runners must have a light.
20-MILE
The 20-mile course is a point-to-point course starting at Jumping Off Rock trailhead and finishing at Wood Run Trailhead at Hwy 24/27. The 20-mile time limit is 6 hours.
8-MILE
The 8-mile course is an-out-and back course starting at Jumping Off Rock Trailhead and turning around at the King Mountain Summit (Birkhead Wilderness).
